Eastman School of Music is about a 20-minute drive from the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) and about 15 minutes from the Rochester International Airport. Geographically, Rochester is 350 miles from New York City, 75 miles from Niagara Falls, and just a few miles from the beautiful Finger Lakes area of upstate New York; the city of Toronto, Canada is a three-hour drive away.
The Eastman School Concert Office, located in Room 101 off the Main Hall of the School, schedules and supports more than 800 performances each year in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, Kilbourn Hall, Hatch Recital Hall, and other spaces. While most of these events are free and open to the public, some are ticketed.

The Eastman Community Music School offers music lessons, ensembles, classes, and workshops to community members of all ages and backgrounds. With 150 teachers – including a topnotch mix of artist-educators, collegiate faculty, and Eastman students – ECMS serves approximately 1,700 community members during the school year and hundreds more each summer.
Graduate Awards. The Eastman School of Music provides financial support to its graduate students primarily through the Graduate Award Program, a merit-based system of financial aid. Through its graduate awards, Eastman is able to provide in-depth professional training for graduate students and receive valuable services in return.
