Die Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung e. V. (FES) ist die älteste sogenannte parteinahe Stiftung in Deutschland und steht der Sozialdemokratischen Partei Deutschlands (SPD) nahe. Die Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung ist gemäß Bundesverband Deutscher Stiftungen mit 190,3 Millionen Euro Gesamtausgaben im Jahre 2019 die zweitstärkste aller deutschen politischen Stiftungen. [5]
Die Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung wurde 1925 gegründet. Unser Namensgeber ist Friedrich Ebert, der erste demokratisch gewählte Reichspräsident Deutschlands. Als gemeinnützige politische Stiftung verbindet uns mit der Sozialdemokratie und der Gewerkschaftsbewegung das Streben nach Freiheit, Gerechtigkeit, Solidarität sowie dem Erhalt des Friedens.
Als politische Stiftung erwarten wir von unseren Stipendiat_innen neben überdurchschnittlichen Studienleistungen ein unseren Werten entsprechendes Engagement, z.B. Tätigkeit als Schulsprecher_in, Mitarbeit in der Fachschaft, Jugendarbeit, Mitwirkung in Verbänden und NGOs oder in zum Umfeld der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung passenden politischen ...
