Georges Auric (born Feb. 15, 1899, Lodève, France—died July 24, 1983, Paris) was a French composer best known for his film scores and ballets. In these and other works, he was among those who reacted against the chromatic harmonic language and Symbolist structures of Claude Debussy .

Compositeur. Georges Auric est un compositeur français, né à Lodève (Hérault) le 15 février 1899 et mort à Paris (8e) le 23 juillet 1983. Il adhère à la Sacem en tant que compositeur le 30 octobre 1925 et devient sociétaire définitif le 30 juin 1934. Il en devient président en 1954, et le restera jusqu'en 1978. Partager :
