Little tidbit: Puzo's "Fools Die" is somewhat a prequel novel to The Last Don. It features the Xanadu casino and Gronevelt, the owner. However, no mention of the Clericuzio and hardly any mob story, which is probably a huge caveat for this forum. None the less if you just need your backstory fix for The Last Don, particular the non mob related Vegas parts, Fools Die is it.
