In 2023 I was very honored to see Mavis Staples, Irma Thomas and all of the living members of The Meters live during NOLA Jazz Fest. They are featured in this set. You can expect a lot of great downtempo, groovy and funky soul, but also some straight up funk and a few outstanding instrumentals.
