The University of Michigan generally, and the Law School in particular, are committed to supporting undocumented and DACA students. All undocumented individuals are eligible for admission to any degree program at the Law School. When you are completing the FlexApp, for “ U.S. Visa type, if any,” simply write “none” or “N/A.”
Tuition and Aid. The truth is, law school is expensive. The actual amount varies, but most people do not have the savings, family resources, or school funding that would allow them to pay for law school without taking on debt. Even if that’s not the case, it will be three years when you aren’t earning a full-time salary.
The University of Michigan Law School estimates that a single student will incur living expenses of approximately $24,364 during the eight months comprising the fall and winter terms. The University of Michigan requires payment of tuition, fees, and room and board charges at the beginning of each term.
