The final D&B installment & the closing chapter of a legendary duo. D&B were at the heart of a caravan of muso’s adopting a fusion of R&B soul gospel blues rock country & folk traditions. This could almost be their most perfect set, superbly sung, played & produced w/ excellent song writing & over 40 "friends" taking part. D&B were a great example of missed opportunities & bad luck.

12. Apr. 2024 · Written by Bonnie Bramlett and Leon Russell, “Groupie (Superstar)” stands out as one of the best Delaney & Bonnie songs from their 1972 album D&B Together. The song was inspired by Rita Coolidge, who provided the idea based on her observations of the relationships between female groupies and rock stars during the 1960s.
Delaney was a prolific songwriter but a terrible husband, according to two of his ex-wives, Bonnie & Bobby Whitlock’s current wife, Coco Carmel. If you watch Bobby & Coco’s
