His love for blues music was crucial for The Yardbirds success. He was the vocalist of the band for its entire classic encarnation in the 60s, from 1963 to 1968.
Armageddon . He was 33 when he died as a result of a shock he took, in the basement of his London home - while playing his improperly earthed (i.e., grounded) guitar. At the time, it is said that Relf was in the process of putting back together the original Renaissance line-up - which would eventually be called Illusion.
