All my four children attended Raines up to the Sixth form, I was at a point the Vice Chair of Governors at Raine’s Foundation School, a Trustee of two other reputable organisations, and a proud long standing trustee of Raine’s School Foundation.

11. Juli 2019 · East London’s oldest school faces closure. 11 July 201914 June 2022 Frederick O'Brien. Consultations are open on plans to close Raine’s Foundation School in August 2020, with Oaklands Secondary School expanding in order to accommodate displaced students. Should the plans go ahead they will bring the school’s centuries long life to a close.
31. Jan. 2020 · Raine's Foundation School was set up in 1719 by wealthy Wapping philanthropist Henry Raine's. It caters for children aged 11 to 18 and comes under the spiritual guidance of the Diocese of London.
The Local Authority sought the views of all interested parties on the proposal to close Raine’s Foundation School (including plans to expand nearby Oakland’s School for the transfer of Raine’s pupils), with effect from 31 August 2020. Responses were invited via online and paper surveys, as well as via email and post. Two public meetings were also held:
