Well, in 1965, CBS decided it wanted a piece of the primetime soap pie that ABC had mainly to itself with the huge hit soap Peyton Place. So they took As The World Turn's character of Lisa Hughes, who to this day is played by Eileen Fulton, and spun her ass off into her own primetime soap called Our Private World for the summer of 1965.
Lisa arrives in Chicago without her wedding band, moves in with a family, gets a job at a hospital & begins to associate with the wealthy Eldridge family.

Our Private World is an American serial. The storyline started on As the World Turns, with Lisa boarding a train to Chicago and the announcer encouraging the audience to watch the spin-off. Upon arriving, Lisa took a job in the admitting room of the local hospital and met her wealthy future husband John Eldredge. A few months after the demise of the series, Fulton returned to As the World Turns.
