A founding father of electric blues in general and Texas blues in particular, guitarist T-Bone Walker influenced countless blues players and, by extension, countless rock & rollers as well. The Complete Imperial Recordings date from the early to mid-1950s, when the idea of electric blues was really taking hold, and the two-disc set is a wealth of classic songs exquisitely performed.

T-Bone Walker was one of the great mid-20th century blues guitarists. He has been cited as an influence by B.B. King and many others. This is an excellent collection of T-Bone Walker's recordings for the Imperial record label between 1950 - 1954. Imperial was an influential label; Fats Domino's 1950s recordings were also on Imperial.
