In the course of constant touring drummer Pilkington-Miksa became ill in late 1971 and, for several months, Barry de Souza, who band members knew from studio work, sat in for him. It was de Souza who played with Curved Air at the 1971 Beat Club German TV performance of "Back Street Luv", the televised version of which became well known.

25. Mai 2010 · His name appears credited in different shapes: Barry DeSouza, Barry Da Souza, Barry De Sousa, but I guess Barry De Souza is the correct one. I haven´t been able to find biographical data about him. Besides, it´s extremely complicated finding info about his live work, so if someone knows more bands and lineups where he has played, I´d be very grateful.
Barry was an amazing drummer known with progressive rock bands but also unsung doing work with the likes of Carley Simon , Lou Reed and Kate Bush etc...
5. Jan. 2011 · Barry De Souza kits up for sale. Dozens of drums, kits and accessories belonging to the late, great Barry De Souza are being sold by DrumWright. The Berkshire drum emporium is selling the haul on behalf of De Souza's daughter, Danielle. Among the items up for sale are a black Pearl DX kit, a Ludwig Concert kit and a Pearl fiberglass snare.
