  7. 17. Feb. 2005 · In this movie the "bad" brother is undone by greed and "shark-magic" exerted by the "madame" of the pearl divers. Without the magic, he would certainly have prevailed, as did the "bad" male in "Last Woman." The movie is interesting partly as an exercise in reading between the lines, if that's not too uncinematic a metaphor.
