The first "California Bloodlines" is an essential 5 star album but its the second "Willard" that I'll review. Following the critical acclaim of "California Bloodlines" (but commercial failure) John was teamed up with producer Peter Asher by his then manager David Geffen. The result was an album that in hindsight is untypical of Johns work.
