Cheam School in Headley, within the Basingstoke and Deane district, has not only educated royalty, but two of the most well known and important royals of modern history.

The Governors of Cheam School are committed to broadening access to the school by offering to eligible parents means-tested financial support with the payment of fees. Such support is known as a Bursary and these may be awarded in the form of a discount on tuition and other fees payable, depending on the financial, compassionate or other pertinent circumstances of applicants.
At Cheam we are also preparing children for their future senior school which will most likely be full or weekly boarding. Cheam school was founded sometime before 1646, and may have used either Whitehall or West Cheam manor house as its original home. The manor house was demolished in 1796. At the 1801 census, the 616 inhabitants were concentrated in three clusters: around Whitehall, around the church and on the High Street. On the north side of the parish, Cheam Common was enclosed by 1810.
