The Menu wird aber nicht, wie man erwarten könnte, ein Menschenjagd-Film wie so viele andere Klassensatiren im Horrorgenre von A Dangerous Game (1932) bis Ready Or Not (2019). Dabei wünscht man sich gen Ende durchaus ein bisschen Action anstelle immer weiterer Gänge, die eigentlich Meta-Kommentare sind, bis der Plot mehr Twists hat als eine Fusilli-Pasta.
