Wallis (born September 14, 1899, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.—died October 5, 1986, Rancho Mirage, California) was an American motion-picture producer, associated with more than 400 feature-length films from the late 1920s to the mid-1970s. Wallis began work at age 14 as an office boy and later worked as a traveling salesman.
In dem von Hal B. Wallis für die Paramount Pictures produzierten Spielfilm sind Jerry Lewis, Joan Blackman, Earl Holliman und Fred Clark in den Hauptrollen zu sehen. Das Drehbuch basiert auf einer TV-Produktion und einem späteren Broadway-Theaterstück von Gore Vidal. Die Erstaufführung in Deutschland fand am 28. November 1960 statt.
