  1. 30. Okt. 2006 · Synopsis. One of the most breathtaking of all graphic novels, Moore and Campbell’s forensic examination of the Ripper murders is as much about Victorian society itself as the vicious slayings in Whitechapel. 2. Great graphic novel, excellent story. You can tell Alan Moore took his time and did his research with this book. The artwork fits perfectly with the story. I highly recommend this graphic novel. The ending last couple of chapters were by far the best moments in the book. This is nothing like that horrible movie that was made.

He has also written a novel, Voice of the Fire, and performs "workings" (one-off performance art/spoken word pieces) with The Moon and Serpent Grand Egyptian Theatre of Marvels, some of which have been released on CD.

  7. "Moore's works have often defied the public's expectations of the medium, and his most ambitious work, the massive graphic novel From Hell, is no exception. … The result is at once a meditation on evil, a police procedural and a commentary on Victorian England. … an impressive piece of work." -- The Los Angeles Times
