Corvus Corax ist eine Band der Mittelalterszene aus Deutschland, auch bekannt unter dem Namen Könige der Spielleute. Die ostdeutsche Band wurde Ende 1989 gegründet. Gründungsmitglieder sind Castus und Venustus. Venustus (Wim) baute einen Großteil der Instrumente wie Dudelsäcke und Schalmeien selbst.
Der Kolkrabe (Corvus corax) ist eine Singvogel art aus der Familie der Rabenvögel (Corvidae). Durch menschliche Verfolgung waren Kolkraben bis 1940 in weiten Teilen Mitteleuropas ausgerottet und haben sich danach durch nachlassende Verfolgung wieder ausgebreitet.

Large, glossy-black bird with a wedge-shaped tail. Larger than a crow with a longer, thicker bill. Distinctive shape in flight, with rather long, swept-back wings and long tail. Note smoother, steadier wingbeats compared with faster, choppier wingbeats of crows. Extensive range throughout the Northern Hemisphere.
