Vor 3 Tagen · Why was Darren McGavin uncredited in the movie The Natural? In the recent retrospective documentary on the Special Edition DVD of this movie, Robert Prosky (the Judge) claimed McGavin was cast late in the picture, and would have received a lesser billing than the other stars. Thus McGavin chose to go uncredited.
Darren McGavin became a big man on the small screen - and today may be best remembered for his TV work - but his excellent work on the big screen should not be forgotten. Especially good was his portrayal of Louie the drug pusher in "The Man with the Golden Arm" (1955) with Frank Sinatra. : r/1950s.
