Derek Leckenby (born May 14,1943 in Manchester, England) played lead guitar for Herman's Hermits. Derek co-founded Pluto Music with Herman's Hermits member Keith Hopwood. Pluto music produced music for childrens television. Derek's nickname was "Lek". He unfortunately died of Non Hodgkin Lymphoma on June 4,1994 at the age of 51.

Vor 5 Tagen · In 1994, Derek (Lek) Leckenby, the lead guitarist with Herman’s Hermits, died in Manchester, England of cancer. He was 48. The group had such ’60s hits as “Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter” and “I’m Henry the eighth, I Am.” Leckenby performed with the group until a month before his death.
