So many great recordings, his guest stints on Late Night with David Letterman along with Paul Shaffer and the band and his wonderful Sunday Night/Night Music TV program. I'll be spinning Bowie's Young Americans album tonight in honor. Rest in peace Mr. Sanborn.

The experience led to a short-lived but fondly remembered late-night music variety show called Night Music , which he co-hosted with Jools Holland at the close of the '80s.
