Mai 2024 · I will note that ZITA JOHANN'S character passes out in the presence of KARLOFF (THE TITULAR MUMMY, AKA ARDATH BAY) wearing a simple day frock and wakes up dressed like this in the Cairo Museum: which means- one is left to assume- that BORIS did her hair and make-up and put her in this kiki little ensemble .

Mai 2024 · YOU KNOW, my feelings about THE MUMMY and ZITA JOHANN'S performance in THE MUMMY are very much the same- I'm torn numerous times every minute between whether it's wonderful, awful, wonderfully awful, camp, meant in sincerity or tongue-in-cheek- one thing for damn sure, IT'S MEMORABLE and sure has some intriguing moments.
