Mai 2024 · For some forty years or so Howe Gelb has been on the music scene, as a solo artist, mover and shaker of Giant Sand, all and any of its incarnations, and as a collaborator with so many artists known and unknown, he has covered almost any shape and form of music without practically missing a mark.

Made in his Arizona dwelling, it is a private affair, with Gelb on the piano in an adobe room insulated with denim, ensuring the acoustic is intimate and without reverberation.
Vor 6 Tagen · But things never stray from its lo-fi heart, maintaining a texture composed of the creaks of the piano stool, Gelb’s breathing audible in the quiet moments, and the distant sound of birds. At times, we hear echoes of Erik Satie or Gonzales’ ‘Solo Piano,’ but it’s unmistakably Gelb.
