The lead vocals were sung primarily by guitarist and new band member Larry Ramos along with vocalist Russ Giguere. Ramos, who was of Filipino descent, was a rare Asian-American lead singer to have a number one hit single.

This light-hearted song by The Association reached the number one position in the U.S. Billboard singles charts in the early summer of 1967- a perfect song for the "Summer of Love." Group members Larry Ramos and Russ Giguere shared lead vocals on "Windy."
