Mai 2024 · In 1552, William Carruthers, the first to be named Carruthers of Dormont, was the third son of Blanche Murray and the chief at the time, John Carruthers 5th of Holmains, 1st Baron. William received a charter of lands from his father for the lands of Corsopeland and Nether Dormont.
