Robert E. Lucas, Jr. is the John Dewey Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus of Economics and the College at the University of Chicago. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, a member of American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Philosophical Society, and the National Academy of Sciences.
