I'd just change the shape of that landscaping a little and make that area part of the bed, then you won't see the root under the mulch. It’s probably already difficult to grow grass there. Remove dirt along the concrete so the mulch can be retained. If you can’t cover the roots cut them out. Hey fellow redditors.
