She later starred in director Kiyoshi Kurosawa's film The Excitement of the Do-Re-Mi-Fa Girl (1985); and has appeared internationally in Juzo Itami's Tampopo (1985) and Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Cure (1997). Shogun premiered on Disney+ on February 27.
