Mai 2024 · News24 reports that the state alleges that, while Mapisa-Nqakula was Defence Minister, she solicited and received R2.5m in bribes and gratifications from fraud-accused businesswoman Nombasa Ntsondwa-Ndhlovu, who was reportedly ‘gifted’ R210m in defence contracts. Ntsondwa-Ndhlovu has since turned state witness.
