The Honeys (originally the Rovell Sisters) were an American girl group, formed in Los Angeles in 1958, that initially comprised sisters Marilyn, Diane, and Barbara Rovell. [2] . Barbara was later replaced by their cousin, Ginger Blake.
Blake, Ginger (1947 – Present) Background vocalist who started out as a member of The Honeys in the early ’60s. The Honeys were an all-girl, surf-rock group that grew out of The Rovells and were produced by Marilyn Rovell’s then-boyfriend and soon-to-be husband Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys .

Barbara, Marilyn, and Diane Rovelli formed a group known as the Rovell Sisters in 1961. They played some amateur shows and small clubs, but things really took off when Barbara left and Sandra Glantz, better known as Ginger Blake, took over, and the group became the Honeys.
