Warner William Westenra erbte dementsprechend 1801 den Titel als 2. Baron. Er diente lange Jahre als Lord Lieutenant des Countys Monaghan. Ihm wurde am 7. Juli 1838 der Titel ein zweites Mal verliehen, diesmal in der Peerage of the United Kingdom. [1]

"William Warner Westenra was born 14 February 1931, son of the 6th Baron Rossmore (1892-1958) and his wife Dolores Cecil Lee, the former Dolores Cecil Wilson (died 1981); and succeeded to the peerage on his father's death, 17 October 1958.

Lord Rossmore died childless (his death gave rise to the legend of the Rossmore banshee) and was succeeded according to the special remainder by his nephew Warner William Westenra, the second Baron. He represented Monaghan in the British House of Commons and also served as Lord Lieutenant of Monaghan from 1831 to 1842.
As the first Baron Rossmore and his wife had no children the title passed in 1801 by a revisionary clause to Mary Murray’s grandson Warner William Westenra, son of one of her other daughters and co heirs Harriet and her husband Henry Westenra, Member of Parliament for Monaghan.
