21. Feb. 2023 · Rod Cervera is a guitar player who was a founding member of Supersport 2000, an aid to Matt Sharp in the construction of The Rentals, and the producer of some of Ozma 's earlier singles. He produced Weezer's fourth album, Maladroit in conjunction with the band and Chad Bamford.
Return of the Rentals is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band The Rentals, released on October 31, 1995, through Maverick Records and Reprise Records. [1] . Supersport 2000 originally began as a band titled Magpie sometime around late 1992 to early 1993, consisting of guitarist Rod Cervera, drummer Mike Fletcher, and vocalist/guitarist Debbie Diament (under the stage name Debbie Diamond). Diament would soon recruit bassist Cherielynn Westrich (who—at the time—had never played bass) after meeting at a bar and the band would begin recording for their first release in February of 1993.
