Er wurde durch Mark Westworth, auch Keyboarder der Band Darwin’s Radio, und dieser wiederum 2011 durch Neil Durant ersetzt. Bereits zwei Jahre zuvor gab Gründungsmitglied Paul Cook am Schlagzeug die Stöcke an Andy Edwards ab, kehrte aber 2009 letztlich langfristig zurück, nachdem sich Edwards eine Auszeit genommen hatte.
The band enlisted Mark Westworth, formerly with Darwin’s Radio, and, after a short hiatus, work continued on IQ’s ninth studio album, ‘Frequency’, released in 2009. It was a musical tour de force which received universally positive reviews.
25. Mai 2023 · IQ chose to replace Orford by recruiting Darwin’s Radio keyboardist Mark Westworth. “Mark has the right sounds to reproduce our existing material, a good relaxed attitude and he wasn’t overawed by learning a wealth of material.”

Please say hello to Mark Westworth, our wizzy new keyboard player. Mark is currently best known for his work with Darwin's Radio. Rehearsals for the IQ European dates are now underway and Mark's first appearance with us will be in Rome on November 23rd.

The other personnel change is with founding member Martin Orford, that is now replaced by a new keyboard player Mark Westworth . To me, the departure of Orford is like if Tony Banks had left Genesis , this because of Orford's major importance in the band's sound and in composing the music.
