20. Juli 2020 · A mention of Stuart Brooks on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS may have those who aren’t longtime fans of the soap curious about this man from Genoa City’s past, so that’s where we come in! The character first appeared when Y&R premiered in March of 1973 and was played by Robert Colbert until Stuart’s death in 1983.
Pretty Things reformed in late 1971. Wally Waller, who had become assistant producer at EMI, was replaced by Stuart Brooks (born January 1951, Hertfordshire) (ex-Black Cat Bones). They signed with Warner Bros. Records and released Freeway Madness at the end of 1972.

We just heard the sad news that Stuart Brooks has died after a two-year fight with cancer. Stuart was one of the finest trumpet players around and the leader of choice for many bands.
Stuart Brooks now lives in the Los Angeles area. He was a member of Wishing Well, a power trio led by guitarist/vocalist Greg Leon, who issued their eponymous 1997 debut album on Tokuma Communications in Japan and on their own label stateside.
