Kurz danach verließ auch Billy Guy die Band, mit der er allerdings bereits seit 1963 neben Plattenaufnahmen nur noch sporadisch aufgetreten war, und wurde durch Jimmy Norman abgelöst. Daraufhin tourte die Band als Oldie-Gruppe durch die Lande.
In late 1957, Carl Gardner and Billy Guy moved to New York with newcomers Cornell Gunter and Will "Dub" Jones to reform The Coasters. [4] .
