John Parke Custis (November 27, 1754 – November 5, 1781) was an American planter and politician, only son of Martha Washington before her marriage to George Washington. He is now known for his progeny, especially those raised by President Washington.

John Parke Custis (known as Jacky when younger, and Jack as he got older) was around four years old when his mother Martha married George Washington. Custis was one of the two surviving children of Martha Washington's first marriage to Daniel Parke Custis. As a result, George Washington became Jacky's legal guardian.
John Parke Custis was the stepson of George Washington and a Revolutionary War officer. He died of camp fever at Yorktown in 1781, leaving his estate in debt and his children orphaned.
22. Dez. 2021 · John Custis (1678—1749) marries Frances Parke, the elder legitimate daughter and heiress of Daniel Parke (d. 1710), a former member of the governor's Council then serving as governor of the Leeward Islands. Parke places the management of his Virginia properties in Custis's hands.
Daniel Parke Custis II and Frances Parke Custis II both died very young, while John Parke Custis and Martha Parke Custis both survived their father. Daniel Parke Custis fell gravely ill and passed away in July of 1757. Shortly thereafter, Martha Dandridge Custis met George Washington.
