Stealin Horses. Profile: Rock - country group from Lexington, Kentucky, U.S. Their name is an ancient Native American rite of passage in which young warriors stole horses from nearby tribes. Members: John Durno, Kiya Heartwood, Kopana Terry, Mandy Meyer.
Biography. Heartwood began her professional music career in a Lexington, Kentucky band called Radio Café with drummer Kopana Terry. The band later changed its name to Stealin Horses and was signed by the Arista label. The self-titled recording received some national acclaim.
