Sons of Kyuss is the debut EP by American rock band Kyuss, released in 1990 under the group's original name, Sons of Kyuss. The band released it independently as a vinyl record, pressing only 500 copies.

Stoner Rock band formed in 1988 as 'Katzenjammer'. They changed their name to 'Sons of Kyuss' in 1989 and released a self-titled EP in the following year. In 1991 the band shortened its name to Kyuss. They released 4 full-length albums (1991-1995). Disbanded in 1995 and reunited in 2010 as 'Kyuss Lives!'.

“Sons Of Kyuss” is one of the earliest examples of the stoner rock genre & in fairness it’s everything that a stoner rock album should be. It’s dirty, fuzzy, heavy & downright gnarly at times. Unfortunately it’s also overly raw & lacks polish. The execution just isn’t there.
