James „Jimmy“ Bower (* 19. September 1968) ist ein US-amerikanischer Metal - und Sludge - Gitarrist, Schlagzeuger und Songwriter, der in vielen bekannten Bands spielte, darunter EyeHateGod, Crowbar, Down und Superjoint Ritual.
Jimmy Bower is a multi-instrumentalist from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a well known figure in the New Orleans Sludge metal scene. He is best known as the drummer and founding member of the Southern metal band, Down. He is also the guitarist and founding member of sludge metal band, Eyehategod.
Jimmy Bower announced in an interview that Eyehategod are still active and preparing a new album. The band played at the Inferno festival in Oslo, Norway, on April 1, 2010, and also played two sets at the Roadburn festival later that month.

Down formed in 1991 with vocalist Phil Anselmo of Pantera, drummer Jimmy Bower of Eyehategod, guitarists Pepper Keenan of Corrosion of Conformity and Kirk Windstein of Crowbar and bassist Todd Strange, also of Crowbar.
