Shebuel ( Hebrew: שְׁבוּאֵל Šəḇū’ēl) was a descendant of Gershom, the son of Moses and Zipporah. He, along with his kinsman Rehabiah a descendant of Eliezer, were described as chiefs and included in the Tribe of Levi. [1]

Shebuel, the son of Moses — That is, descended from Moses; was ruler of the treasures — The chief over all the treasures mentioned before or afterward, as his very title shows, which is peculiarly given to him, and to none of the rest. This is the sole honour that we read of hitherto conferred upon any of the posterity of Moses.
she-bu'-el, sheb'-u-el (shebhu'el; Soubael): (1) A son of Gershom and grandson of Moses ( 1 Chronicles 23:16 ). He was "ruler over the treasures" ( 1 Chronicles 26:24 ). In 1 Chronicles 24:20 he is called "Shubael," which is probably the original form of the name (see Gray, HPN, 310).
SHEBUAL, SHEBUEL shĭ’ bul, shĕb yŏŏ’ əl (שׁוּבָאֵ֖ל, sh e bu’ēl; LXX Σουβαήλ). Our knowledge of Shebual is limited to five references in 1 Chronicles. He is identified as a Levite whose lineage is traced to Amram (24:20), to Gershom the son of Moses (23:16 and 26:24).
