The Great Concert, Paris 1964 ist ein Jazz-Album von Charles Mingus, das 1964 aufgenommen, zunächst 1970 als Dreifach-LP unter dem Titel The Great Concert Of Charles Mingus veröffentlicht wurde und 1991 als Doppel-CD erschienen ist.
Between October 1964 to summer 1966, Ervin worked and lived in Europe, playing gigs in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and The Netherlands. Basing himself in Barcelona , Spain, he featured regularly at the city's Jamboree Club.
Booker Ervin (Booker Telleferro Ervin II; * 31. Oktober 1930 in Denison, Texas; † 31. August 1970 in New York City) war ein US-amerikanischer Jazz-Tenorsaxophonist, Komponist und Bandleader.
Booker Telleferro Ervin Jr. war nicht Avantgarde genug für einen Avantgardisten und nicht konventionell genug für einen Mainstreamer. Für eine eigene Schublade blieb ihm nicht genug Zeit. Er starb mit 39 Jahren an Nierenversagen. Die Kollegen kürzten seinen Vornamen und sagten statt Booker einfach „Book“.
