Built in 1847 at 311 East State Street, this Norman Gothic structure was the first combined medical school and hospital in the United States (St. Francis Hospital/Starling Medical College).

Okt. 2008 · Starling Medical College was the forerunner of The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and St. Francis Hospital continued as a teaching hospital until it closed in 1955 and was later razed in 1957. Erected 1996 by Academy of Medicine, Grant/Riverside Methodist Hospitals, and The Ohio Historical Society. (Marker Number 21-25 .)

  6. St. James the Less Catholic School is a fully chartered and accredited school by the Ohio Catholic Accreditation Association.
