Hater was an American rock supergroup that formed in Seattle, Washington in 1993. The band formed as a side project mostly under the direction of Soundgarden bassist Ben Shepherd.
It’s been a quick rise for Swedish indie pop quartet Hater. Malmö based group signed to Fire Records releasing double LP ‘Siesta’ (2018), 7” ‘Four Tries Down/It’s A Mess’ (2019) and EP ‘Red Blinders’ (2017). Set to release their new album ‘ Sincere’ on 6th May on Fire Records.

My Bloody Valentine und die ehemalige Band Slowdive sind offensichtliche Orientierungsadressen, ebenso aktuelle Bands wie Deerhunter. Dennoch ist und bleibt ihre Musik fesselnd und irgendwie cool – düsterere Geräuschkulissen und langgezogene Soli machen sich dabei echt gut.
