Country Joe McDonald (* 1. Januar 1942 in Washington, DC als Joseph McDonald) ist ein US-amerikanischer Folk - und Rock sänger, Gitarrist und Singer-Songwriter. 1965 gründete er die Gruppe Country Joe and the Fish; er wurde bekannt durch seinen Auftritt auf dem Woodstock-Festival mit dem Fish Cheer und dem I-Feel-Like-I’m-Fixin’-to-Die Rag.

In 2017, McDonald released an album on his own Rag Baby label entitled 50. In 2019, Mc Donald was scheduled to play on Woodstock's 50th Anniversary festival, which was cancelled after negotiations between partners failed.
