Live at Tonic. Release date: 2003/04. Listen to ogg-audio sample. Wally Shoup is here again, but the line-up is different: Paul Flaherty on tenor and alto sax, Thurston Moore (of Sonic Youth fame) on guitar, Chris Corsano on drums.
A powerhouse lineup of great free improv musicians, Live at Tonic is a cathartic, cacaphonous romp. Chris Corsano's steady variation on the drumming stylings of Rashied Ali anchors the feedback squall of Thurston Moore's guitar/amplifier and the dual saxes of Shoup and Paul Flaherty.

Shoup recorded two CDs with Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth Hurricane Floyd (Subliminal, 2000) and Live at Tonic (Leo Records, 2003) with Paul Flaherty and Chris Corsano. He also made two recordings with Nels Cline of Wilco: Immolation/Immersion (CD, 2005) and Suite: Bittersweet (LP, 2007), both on Strange Attractors Audio House.
