Im Oktober ließ sie das zweite Album Nel mondo, una cosa folgen, auf dem u. a. Valsinha von Vinícius de Moraes und Chico Buarque, Amanti von Maurizio Fabrizio, und das Cover Madre von John Lennon enthalten sind. Damit war Mia Martini auch in den Albumcharts erfolgreich.

In October Martini released her second album, Nel mondo, una cosa which contained songs such as "Valsinha" by Vinícius de Moraes and Chico Buarque, "Amanti" by Maurizio Fabrizio, and the poignant covers "Madre" and "Io straniera", two pieces respectively by John Lennon and Elton John.
