Duane Allman am 6. Juni 1971 in Fillmore East. Howard Duane Allman (* 20. November 1946 in Nashville, Tennessee; † 29. Oktober 1971 in Macon, Georgia) war ein US-amerikanischer Rock-und Blues-Gitarrist. Er gilt als Slide-Gitarren-Legende und einer der besten Rock- und Blues-Gitarristen.
Howard Duane Allman (November 20, 1946 – October 29, 1971) was an American rock and blues guitarist and the founder and original leader of the Allman Brothers Band, for which he was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.
29. Okt. 2020 · Eine dreistündige Operation war nicht erfolgreich: Im Alter von nur 24 Jahren, zweieinhalb Jahre nach seinem großen Durchbruch, starb Duane Allman. Drei Tage später, am 01. November 1971, fanden sich knapp 300 Freunde und Familienmitglieder für eine Trauerzeremonie in Macon zusammen.

Gegründet 1969, bestand die Band ursprünglich aus Duane Allman ( Gitarre ), Gregg Allman (Gesang, Keyboard ), Dickey Betts (Gitarre), Berry Oakley ( Bass ), Butch Trucks ( Schlagzeug) und Jai Johanny „Jaimoe“ Johanson (Schlagzeug, Percussion).
