George Terry (born 1950) is an American rock and blues guitarist and songwriter best known for his work with Eric Clapton in the 1970s and as a session musician with other artists, including ABBA, the Bee Gees, Joe Cocker, Andy Gibb, Freddie King, Diana Ross, Stephen Stills, and Kenny Rogers.

6. Juli 2011 · We had the great honour to talk with a great guitarist, George Terry. He played with Eric Clapton from 1974-1979 and they made together many classic albums as “461 Ocean Boulevard”, “Slowhand”, “Backless”, “E.C was Here” and others. There you can find his own compositions too.

George Terry was in the original Eric Clapton Group starting with the album 461 Ocean Blvd. Eric recorded a few of George's songs, Mainline Florida, Lay Down Sally, Don't Blame Me, and also Let Me Stay, which is on George's Guitar Drive CD.
