Norway High School was a high school located in the town of Norway, Iowa. It was closed after the 1990–1991 school year, and the majority of students were merged into Benton Community High School. [1] The school's final baseball season was the subject of the movie The Final Season .
Prior to 1991, students attended Norway High School, notable for its baseball athletic program (the subject of the feature film The Final Season). [ citation needed ] The Norway school district merged into the Benton district on July 1, 1995.

23. Aug. 2021 · 10 hours ago. NORWAY, Iowa — Norway High School last played baseball 30 years ago, before the school merged with nearby Benton Community. That ended a run for the team, winning 20 state baseball championships.

Take a quick Video Tour of the Museum. Our Museum tells the story of how baseball came to the little town of Norway, shortly after the Civil War, and culminated in twenty State High School Championships.
He also started Norway’s first volunteer fire department, and just as important as doing that, he taught his sons to play baseball. Just one generation later, his grandson would become a Major League ballplayer. Around 1920, Norway got electrical power and its school system became one of the first in Iowa to consolidate.
